Today Sept 28 is World News Day! The World News Day show "The Climate Crisis" produced by the Canadian Journalism Foundation is now available on YouTube! You'll catch a few stories from Asia in there, including a couple from Singapore. A youth video competition was held to mark World News Day and one of the winning entries - a quirky piece from Nanyang Polytechnic called The Master Waster Chris - appears from timecode 21:47 onwards, after the SCMP story on a remarkable 11-year-old HK climate activist.

The WND Show features news stories from around the world (NYT, ST, SCMP, Deutsche Welle, The Guardian, Thomson Reuters Foundation, Guardian Australia, CBC News, BBC, Al Jazeera English, Univision, Sacramento Bee, Global News and the National Observer) and remarks by ST's Editor-in-Chief Warren Fernandez, the Guardian’s Editor-in-Chief Katharine Viner, Reuters’ Editor-in-Chief Alessandra Galloni, and The Washington Post’s Climate and Environment Editor Trish Wilson. The show drives the critical message that journalism matters when it comes to telling the story of the climate crisis.

It is hosted by Canadian actor Victor Garber (Titanic, Legally Blonde, Argo, Alibi) and news anchor Farah Nasser of Global News in Canada.
