The national treasure of Iran is no stranger to discrimination and harassment. On the first night of her farewell tour, she spoke up with courage, power and vulnerability against those who hide behind the curtain of social media to spread fear and hatred. Their comments are deeply rooted in ageism, biases, and sexism and do not deserve responses.

Googoosh’s astonishing stage presence and stunning voice proved she is, has been and will always be the symbol of female empowerment and the beloved daughter of Iran.
