Commencing Doubt:
"I was never an atheist or agnostic. I always knew that God is One, and even when I attended church, I held onto this belief. In the Old Testament, it is stated that a son cannot bear the sins of the father, and the father cannot bear the sins of the son. This contradicts the Christian belief that Jesus (peace be upon him) was killed for the forgiveness of the sins of humanity."

Continuing with his reflections, Henry questions the rationality of certain Christian beliefs, such as Jesus (peace be upon him) speaking to himself on the cross and the inconsistency of Jesus being both God and the Son of God.

"I asked a Christian clergyman if Jesus talks to himself. I believed in the virgin birth of Jesus, but if he is considered the best creation of God by Christians, why would God have to kill him for the forgiveness of my sins? Why can't I directly apologize to God? These are not rational thoughts."

The Godhood of Christ:
Henry critically examines the Christian perspective on the divinity of Christ, highlighting the paradoxes and inconsistencies in the belief that Christ, as God, was born, required maternal nourishment, and then died for the sins of humanity, descending to hell for three days before being resurrected.

Strange Stories of Prophets:
Henry explores the narratives surrounding the prophets, questioning the Christian belief in Jesus's crucifixion and descent to hell. He engages with Christian clerics and delves into theological discussions, ultimately finding that his beliefs align more with Islamic teachings.

Seeking the Truth in Islam:
Henry's journey takes a turn when he encounters Muslims from Bangladesh during his college years. They provide him with the Quran, and he spends three to four months comparing it with the Bible. Islam emphasizes the oneness of God, considering Jesus as a prophet and rejecting the notion of his crucifixion for the atonement of sins.

Embracing Islam:
In January 2006, Henry formally embraces Islam at the Islamic Center of Jamaica, declaring the Shahada. He narrates how three others also embraced Islam on the same day.

Questioning Shia Islam:
After accepting Islam, Henry inquires about Shia Islam but is discouraged from exploring it. However, his curiosity leads him to the AhlulBayt Mosque and the Islamic Guidance Center, where he learns about Shia Islam through books and discussions. Eventually, he embraces Shia Islam.

Challenges and Triumphs:
Henry discusses the challenges faced by new Muslims in the United States, emphasizing the need for support in acquiring essential items like prayer mats and hijabs. He calls for collaborative efforts within the Muslim community to address these needs.

Promoting Shia Islam:

Accepted by the Seminary:
In a recent development, Henry Chelune Junior reveals that he has been accepted by the seminary in Qom, Iran. He expresses his intention to pursue studies there and, once accomplished, return to the United States to establish his Islamic center.
