🌐 In a report by Rahyafte (Comprehensive Platform for Missionaries and New Muslims), a tale unfolds of a young Iranian student residing in America. This student shares the story of a Christian lady, Taylor, who, fueled by curiosity about the Islamic Revolution in Iran, converted to Islam. Now, she actively engages in promoting Islam and the Shiite school of thought in America.

👥 Meet Abbas, a friend I made in America. Before the Islamic Revolution, he and his elder brother Reza came to the U.S. from a prosperous family, with their father providing financial support for their education.

💔 However, their father set a condition for their financial support: to refrain from involvement in religion and politics.

🤝 Reza's Marriage to Taylor and the Beginnings of Their Journey

Reza met an American girl named Taylor, married her, and shortly afterward, the Islamic Revolution triumphed in Iran. Witnessing the Islamic Republic in the news for the first time, Taylor became curious about Iran and Islam. As Reza couldn't adequately answer her questions, she requested books about Islam to find answers. At that time, English books about Islam were scarce.

📚 Taylor's Research on Islam and Seeking a Divorce

After researching Islam for a while, Taylor sought a divorce from Reza, claiming their marriage was not legitimate in Islamic terms. Despite Reza insisting he was a Christian and not a Muslim, Taylor remained firm, stating that she, being a Muslim, couldn't live with a Christian man. With their home in disarray, Reza sought help from friends to mediate.

🤝 The Conditions for Continued Marriage: Reza's Genuine Conversion to Islam

In a mediation session, Taylor outlined three conditions for reconciliation: 1) Reza must become a Muslim and learn about Islam, 2) Reza must adhere to his religious duties, and 3) Reza must actively engage in propagating the faith. After some reluctance, Reza accepted the first and third conditions but negotiated on the second.

🗣️ Taylor insisted that she desired nothing materialistic from Reza but only those things that would bring him true happiness. Ultimately, Reza agreed, and their marriage was sanctified according to Islamic principles.

📖 The Quran as the Sole Witness to Reza's Commitment

Immediately after securing Reza's commitment, Taylor took out a Quran from her handbag and placed it on the table. She asked Reza to pledge his commitment to the Quran. Witnessing this, everyone was shocked. Before taking the oath, Taylor emphasized that only a Muslim could bind themselves to God through an oath on the Quran. Reza and Taylor both repeated the Islamic testimonies, and Reza accepted Taylor's conditions with an oath on the Quran.

🌹 From that moment on, Taylor, now known as Zahra, actively engaged in Islamic activities alongside Reza. She played a pivotal role in converting similar American spouses to Islam. Zahra, or Sister Taylor, as she was affectionately called, went on to lead diverse Islamic initiatives, including raising funds for the first Shiite mosque in California and organizing Islamic education sessions for young Shiite believers.

While I aimed to guide my Muslim friend towards Christianity, I found guidance in Islam myself.

According to Rahyafte (the comprehensive platform for missionaries and new Muslims), a Christian who once sought to lead his Muslim friend to the path of Christianity narrates his conversion to Islam:

My name is Rashid, and I hail from the state of Florida in the United States. I embraced Islam when I was 17 years old.

I was raised in a Baptist church and was a child who always attended church, devout in my faith. I attended Bible classes frequently and was familiar with the Holy Scriptures, but my knowledge of religion was limited to that of a 13-17 year old.

Before turning to Islam, I held strong beliefs in the Trinity within Christianity. I had little knowledge about the Islamic faith, perhaps due to the biased image created by the mainstream media, and I unquestioningly accepted whatever news and media presented to me. Despite having some information about other religions such as Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc., from my theology classes, I thought I was quite knowledgeable.

In our class, a young man had converted to Islam, and I wanted to guide him back to the right path. The idea of him abandoning the Christianity that I loved so much was unacceptable to me. Therefore, I made it my mission to bring this wayward friend back to the church. I exerted all my efforts, but what happened was that eventually, through him, I became acquainted with Islam.

We had numerous religious discussions about theology, and he taught me aspects of Islam. I realized that his religion resonated with more logic, and I began to question the Trinity.
