In Jami' al-Akhbar, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever saddens a believer and then gives him the world, that is not expiation, and he will not be rewarded for it." ((If someone makes a believer sad and then gives them the world, that act will not be considered as atonement, and no reward will be granted for it.))

What I mean is to remember God when encountering what God has allowed or forbidden. If it is in obedience to God, act upon it, and if it is a disobedience to the divine command, abandon it.

🔹 Ayatollah Bahjat commenced his worship from the midnight hours. Two to three hours before the call to Fajr prayer, he would rise from sleep for performing the nightly prayers and worship. He would quietly recite supplications and sometimes whisper poems. After performing ablution, he would engage in worship and intimate conversations with the Almighty.

🔹 Following the Fajr prayer, he would engage in additional acts of worship.

🔹 He would recite Ziyarat Ashura and its associated prayers, and then recite the Alqamah supplication. Subsequently, amidst daily activities and commuting to the shrine or classes, he would recite one hundred curses and one hundred blessings as part of the Ziyarat Ashura.

☘ I asked: Currently, relations between Iran and Iraq are strained, and the path to Karbala seems closed. What should I do?

☘ He advised: Participate in gatherings and events held for the mourning of Imam Hussein (AS); the rewards of the visitation of Imam Hussein (AS) will be bestowed upon you.

☘ Then he added: My dear son! I have emphasized this in the past, and now I recommend that you never abandon or forget the Ziyarat Ashura. Regularly recite the Ziyarat Ashura and consider it your duty.

The late Ayatollah Tavallaei Khorasani, in his speech at Marvi Mosque in Tehran in 1383 AH, emphasized:
The Quran doesn't say, "Don't sleep," but it advises, "Sleep." However, stay awake during the last third of the night, be somewhat alert. Do not neglect supplication and pre-dawn prayers, especially during the month of Ramadan. For the pre-dawn meal that you're awake for, allocate twenty minutes of these waking hours to God. Sit in a corner, talk to God a bit. Speak with the language of your parents, saying: "Oh God! I didn't understand. Oh Possessor of immense grace, Oh Generous One, Oh Merciful! Forgive me." Speak until tears come. The moment your tears flow, it signifies the beginning of meeting and union with the Almighty.

🔰 "Rights of People"

✍ Someone once sought guidance from His Eminence Ayatollah Bahjat. The Ayatollah, immersed in remembrance as always, raised his head and advised, "Avoid sin as much as you can." Then, lowering his head again, he resumed his remembrance. After a few moments, he lifted his head once more and added, "But if, by chance, you do commit a sin, strive to ensure it doesn't infringe upon the rights of others."

Again, he bowed his head and continued his remembrance. After a while, he raised his head again and for the third time stated, "If you commit a sin that violates the rights of others, try to reconcile it in this world and don't leave it for the Hereafter, as it will be problematic there."
