💫 RESOURCES | BREATHING TECHNIQUE by Joe Dispenza

🔹Step 1:
Whilst inhaling, flex your perineum.
(This is the muscles you would flex if you were trying to hold in a pee or poop)
Hold breath for 5-10 seconds before fully releasing.

🔹Step 2:
Whilst inhaling, flex perineum, then activate core muscles. This means slightly pulling your belly button toward your spine, the same way you activate your core before each exercise at the gym.

🔹Step 3:
Whilst inhaling, flex perineum, then activate core, then flex upper abdominals. Don’t flex so hard you feel yourself straining. A gentle flex shall suffice.

🔹Step 4:
When you have inhaled and chronologically flexed each muscle group, visualise the cerebrospinal fluid traveling up through your heart, through your throat , and into your pineal gland (roughly in the centre of your head)

It helps to visualise the fluid spinning around your pineal gland, helps to focus on the movement of energy around that centre.

Always hold each breath for roughly 10 seconds if possible, before fully releasing and relaxing all muscles.

This is NOT an easy breathing technique, it requires a lot of focus and patience and practice.

RESOURCES | Connection: Fear - Nervous system - Brain

Understanding Fight / Flight / Freeze, unability to think rationaly and, with time, compromised body functions.

Your sympathetic nervous system is a network of nerves that helps your body activate its “fight-or-flight” response.

This system’s activity increases when you’re stressed, in danger or physically active. Its effects include increasing your heart rate and breathing ability, improving your eyesight and slowing down processes like digestion.

If the SNS is activated too frequently, this can have long-lasting effects on the body, resulting in chronic stress. Similarly, constant surges of epinephrine can damage blood vessels and arteries, which in turn can increase blood pressure and increase the risk of strokes and heart attacks.

Being in Fear = Unability to Reason

TIPS & TRICKS | Reduce Anxiety & Stress with the Physiological Sigh, dr Andrew Huberman | | Huberman Lab Quantal Clip
2,45 mins

Dr. Huberman describes here "the Physiological Sigh" which is a pattern of breathing that helps reduce stress / anxiety almost instantly:

1/ two inhales throught the nose (first longer than the second one)
2/ followed by an extended exhale through the mouth

This pattern of breathing occurs spontaneously in sleep, when C02 levels get too high but they can be done deliberately any time we want to reduce our levels of anxiety and calm down fast.
